Posting some riddles since Vernon is so bored and complaining that class blog is stagnating. :P

1) What is greater than God,
More evil than the devil,
The poor have it,
The rich need it,
And if you eat it, you'll die?

2) It's made by someone that doesn't want it.
It's bought by someone that can't use it.
It's used by someone that doesn't know it.
What is it?

3) You are in a room with 3 light switches and nothing else. Upstairs there is a single light bulb. All three light switches are in the off position and the light bulb upstairs is also off. Only one of the three switches controls the light bulb.

You can spend as much time as you like in the first room, flip any combination of switches and number of times, but you can only go upstairs to see if the light is on 1 time. Once you go upstairs, you can't go back down.

The question then, is, how can you figure out (after the above exercise) with certainty which particular switch controls the light bulb?

(Note: There are no fancy tricks to this question. You cannot view the lightbulb from downstairs. You cannot pull out the wall socket to check the wiring. The lightbulb and switches are standard, normal ones.)

Who can solve these puzzles? Don't cheat by looking them up on google! If you've heard of it before, don't tell and let others have a chance to solve. Will post answers in a day or two. ;)
