I believe situations are what we as individuals, make of it. In this case, I apply it towards the camp. Very tired now, so I'm going to try and keep it short, I'm sure others (celest/xiaoying/etc) will helpfully fill in more details later.

Basically, the camp wasn't as horrendous as what we all thought la. For the people who ponned, you missed out on some seriously fun activities that were well worth the trip man. Anyway WHATever, since you probably won't understand what we're talking about now.

(haha looking at the word WHAT in a different light.)

For those who went, I guess we all went in with our own expectations of what the camp was going to be like, based on the accounts of those who went ahead of us. For me, I thought it was going to be bad, what with the toilets and the tents and the "lame" team-building games. But when we got there, I realised that the details were over-sensationalised, and rubbish la. (jetty jump where got 20m one? siao.) As celest said, "we [have] to do things with an open mind.". Having gone in with the mentality that the camp was going to suck, it affected my first few moments. But thankfully, my mindset switched! so it was good.

The truth is, it was the people (ourselves) who made the camp highly enjoyable and successful. If, at every waking moment, I had told myself, omg this camps really sucks!, I think I wouldn't have lasted beyond the first day. There will always be bad moments/stuff which may get us down but it's what we make of it that really makes a difference. As it was, all those from our class who went were enthusiastic people who really wanted a good experience and went all out to achieve it. Whether it was singing random songs at the pavilion at midnight, or bouncing up and down on the seesaw, or doing our WHAT! cheer/ice kacang+the window songs, it was just good. Thankfully, there weren't any stoners/whiny/complainy people around us to spoil the mood.

"10. imagine how much fun you can have with three full dayssss. you dun wanna waste time. this is june holidays people."

We did have fun.

Thank you, to those who went. You all made a difference and it was a great experience :)) amy and cassandra totally rocked. crazy women perpetually on a ice kacang high.

GOING TO ZZZ NOW.
