ok la.. that was random... i enjoyed the tennis match todae.. all tanx to ms ong and mdm tay and the geog teacher for making it able to happen...
the tennis match jus signified how luck can turn a game.. as well as how random sports can be... but it only showed how hwachong atheletes have the hwachong spirit to keep fighting.. 3 cheers fopr the hwachong gers tennis team! and my most sincere heartfelt condolences to tamsyn...
the match went like tis... no names shall be mentioned.. firstly not nice.. secondly.. i duno the names at all.. haha..
in a game of 5 v5... 3 singles 2 doubles... against a vjc.. it was a close match...
hwachong was down 2-0 after the first 2 singles match despite cheering and the drums curtesy of shuo nan.. it was demoralizing... yet the tennis gers never gave up... showing wad exactly as zi qiang bu xi!
we took the next doubles match 7-5, 6-2, and the last singles match... to come back 2-2 to draw the math.. all eyes were on the last match
it was down to the final match... the last doubles match.. as intense as it wld be...
we went down the first game 6-1, others would have regarded it as thrashing... and the match won convincingly in favour of vjc... however... even without the councillors enthusiastic cheering chand the lack of the bass drum... the tennis gers fought with spirit to win the second game 4-6, it was down to the wire after an intense match...
it started to drizzle..
ok that was random...
anyway the game was tight... the gers fought like wild cats slashing out at each other.. in the most sportswomanlike fashion though... however, spirit without luck, was apparently not enuf... hwachong went down fighting as hard as it could, but we lost in the end 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.. overall we lost 3-2, credit to both sides for putting up an exhirilating semi finals worthy of much respect...
dun worry!
there is still 3rd fourth placing to fight for, means class this fridae we will not be going to support basketball but we will be going down to support tamsyn.. ok?
